Moral Bankruptcy on Display: Maryland Democrats Compare Trump to Hitler—and Cross a Dangerous Line
When public officials weaponize the Holocaust for political cheap shots, they don’t just smear their opponents—they insult the memory of millions. That’s exactly what happened this week in Maryland, where Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and Congressman Jamie Raskin compared President Donald J. Trump to Adolf Hitler.
Let that sink in. Two elected Democrats—one a local bureaucrat and the other a sitting member of Congress—thought it appropriate to equate a U.S. President with a genocidal maniac who orchestrated the systematic murder of over 11 million people, including 6 million Jews. And they did so in the name of “public discourse.”
The Maryland Freedom Caucus wasn’t having it. In a sharply worded statement, the group, led by Delegate Matt Morgan, condemned the comparison as “morally repugnant,” “deeply offensive,” and “a complete collapse of historical literacy.” They’re absolutely right.
This isn’t the first time the left has tried to lazily toss around Hitler comparisons whenever they can’t win a policy debate. But it may be one of the most dangerous. We live in a time when political violence is no longer hypothetical—President Trump survived two assassination attempts, lawmakers have been attacked for their beliefs, and yet Democrat leaders in Maryland are trivializing genocide to score partisan points.
To suggest that enforcing immigration laws, reforming taxes, or restoring order to the streets is somehow equivalent to the Final Solution is not only historically ignorant—it’s disgusting.
It reveals a party so unmoored from reality that it’s willing to torch the last semblance of respectful political discourse. This is not about disagreement. It’s about Democrats crossing lines that should never be crossed. It’s about invoking one of history’s greatest evils to attack someone they simply disagree with.
Even worse, these reckless statements dishonor the memory of Holocaust victims. When everything is Hitler, nothing is. And when Democrats blur those lines, they dull the public’s understanding of true evil.
The Maryland Freedom Caucus is right to demand better. Americans of all political stripes should join them. Because when our leaders can’t tell the difference between authoritarianism and a President with whom they disagree, we have bigger problems than partisan politics—we have a crisis of moral clarity.
Isn't it ironic that the two idiots, Democrat Congresscritter Raskin and Democrat Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich are both JEWS!!!!!! Elrich is also a card-carrying member of the Democrat Socialist Party. Remember who the Nazis were: They were the National SOCIALIST Worker's Party in Germany from 1933 until their demise in 1945. It seems that the real Nazis are rearing their ugly heads again in the form of Democrat SOCIALISTS!!!!
